The Metro Broward Drug Task Force (MBDTF) is composed of thirteen state, county, local and federal agencies. The lead initiative role is managed by full-time employees from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
The MBDTF is a multi-jurisdictional initiative that the South Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) initiated funding for on October 1, 2010. Officers on the task force investigate cases and obtain search warrants and arrest warrants in drug cases throughout Broward County, FL.

The focus of Metro Broward Drug Task Force (MBDTF) is to disruption middle-level to upper-level Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTO) and Money Laundering Organizations (MLO) with ties to narcotics trafficking.
