D-6 Suspension
If you fail to appear in court when required or otherwise resolve your case, or if you fail to pay or complete some other condition required by the court, then the court can issue a D-6 suspension.
The “D6” is a notification sent to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) by the Clerk of Courts in Broward County, that explains a failure to comply with court requirements. The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) will issue the suspension that can be added to your Florida driving record.
Each state has different rules and procedures for clearing license matters. In Broward County, the D6 fees can be paid to the Broward Clerk of the Courts. However, there may still be other requirements that have to be met before a driver license can be reinstated.
